Salted Caramel Sauce

We made this thick and smooth caramel sauce with our PopSweet sweetener and we have to say, it’s amazing! This homemade brown butter caramel would be perfect on top of any of our KetoBakes ice creams or drizzled over one of our baked desserts. We won’t judge if you just want to eat a spoonful!

Ingredients

1/4 cup PopSweet Sweetener
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 - 3/4 tsp sea salt

Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry & Coffee KetoJoy Ice Cream
Directions
Add the butter to a small sauce pan over medium heat. Stir occasionally and let the butter brown. This takes about 4 minutes.
Take off heat and stir in heavy cream, PopSweet, sea salt.
Add the pan back to the heat and cook over medium-low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring lightly every few minutes. The caramel should look thickened. Taste test a small amount for seasoning flavor and adjust if necessary.
Pour into a small glass or ceramic jar to cool and let cool to room temperature. The caramel with thicken as it cools.
Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.
