Chantilly Cream Cake

Orange zested whipped cream frosting, layers of fluffy vanilla sponge cake and berries! Refreshingly delicious! Folks will not soon forget this one! It’s become the most requested dessert at get-togethers in our family! Our mixes make it so easy to create this impressive dessert in minutes...

KB Mixes Needed:
 Old Fashioned Snack Cake, Dreamy Vanilla Ice Cream

Cake:

  • Old Fashioned Snack Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 eggs

Chantilly Cream Frosting:

  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • Vanilla Ice Cream Mix
  • 1 small orange zested (or 2 mandarins zested)

Berries & Fruit

  • Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Cutie Mandarins

Directions:

  1. Bake Snack Cake in 8"x 8" baking pan according to directions on package. Let cool on counter.
  2. Whip the 3 cups heavy cream with Ice Cream package and orange zest until thick and fluffy. Ice Cream mix has natural thickeners that help stabilize the whip cream frosting to keep structure when served and for days in the icebox. 
  3. When cake is fully cooled, cut in half horizontally. Frost with 1/3 of the whipped cream frosting. Layer fresh raspberries. Add top cake layer. Frost top and sides with rest of frosting. Decorate top with cut and whole berries of your choice. A few small pieces of seedless mandarin oranges, while not keto, do not add many carbs, and can add that extra orange flavor to take it over the top. But it's great even without them!
  4. Store covered cake in icebox for days - as long as the fruit lasts.
