Old World Cinnamon Vanilla Glazed Almonds

Remember those hot glazed nuts that come in those cute paper cones at holiday festivals? Oh so heavenly! Here is a blood sugar friendly version! No one will know the difference because our PopSweet tastes so much like sugar! These accompany every Fall & Winter holiday buffet in our home!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups of salted or unsalted Roasted Almonds
1/2 cup KB PopSweet
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat heat the sweetener until it is fully melted. (Yes, it does melt without adding liquid).
  2. Add the vanilla and cinnamon. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the almonds. As the mixture cools, stir every 10 minutes. The syrup will continue to thicken and harden.Once they are well coated with all the syrup pour onto a piece of parchment paper in a single layer. Wait! Don't try them yet!
  4. Cool completely.
  5. Store in an air tight container.
