Old World Cinnamon Vanilla Glazed Almonds
Remember those hot glazed nuts that come in those cute paper cones at holiday festivals? Oh so heavenly! Here is a blood sugar friendly version! No one will know the difference because our PopSweet tastes so much like sugar! These accompany every Fall & Winter holiday buffet in our home!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of salted or unsalted Roasted Almonds
1/2 cup KB PopSweet
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat heat the sweetener until it is fully melted. (Yes, it does melt without adding liquid).
- Add the vanilla and cinnamon. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the almonds. As the mixture cools, stir every 10 minutes. The syrup will continue to thicken and harden.Once they are well coated with all the syrup pour onto a piece of parchment paper in a single layer. Wait! Don't try them yet!
- Cool completely.
- Store in an air tight container.
